Da'Rick Rogers gets no second chances per Marrone

per rotoworld:

Bills coach Doug Marrone said the signing of undrafted rookie WR Da'Rick Rogers is a "one-shot deal."
"Either you've learned your lesson and you've grown up and you're going to go forward and mature, or you haven't learned your lesson and you're going to be out on the street," Marrone said. "It's that simple. It's all on you, and you have to make the right decisions." The slightest slip-up and Rogers is going to get his walking papers. If he keeps his head on straight, Rogers has a legitimate shot to carve out a prominent offensive role as a rookie. May 11 - 4:54 PM

I didn't even realize that the kid wasn't drafted. He must have really been a screw-up. Now he has his opportunity. It's all up to him. Zero tolerance for off-field bullshit!

their draft was quite good for them.  my buddy is a die hard and he is pumped.  i mean shoot if manuel, woods and rogers pan out they could be really good very soon.  their o line is good and d line are beast as well.

what did he do exactly?

got arrested, and failed several drug test. also heard he was a bad teammate, still worth a shot in the later rounds because the skill level is there.

This guys has about a 5% chance of being in the league in 2 years.

Glad we did not waste a pick on him.

that can be said about a lot of draft picks.and it wouldnt be because of talent, in football you have to take chances.even when building a roster.

Yeah, to me, the thing is that we have needed an injection of serious talent at WR for years, so at least they could have made getting his agent on the phone a priority once the draft ended. Hell, in retrospect, he should have probably been the first guy we called.  This wouldn't have even cost us a draft pick.

Look if the Bengal's passed on him every round his off field stuff must be wayyyy more than just some weed incidents.

He has talent but I had major pause on him when Todd Mcshay mentioned his run ins with drugs..and his "troubled background" ..he never went into much detail but it seemed he got some major details from a few teams.

His off field troubles were bad, but was was really damning for him was that he had just as many on field issues as well. Like not running routes the right way on purpose, not running correct routes, giving up on plays if he wasn't involved as the intended target......ext.....

Pretty much.... he's a head case with talent.
