Random Star Wars Revelation

I just realized something about Star Wars that just totally blew my mind:

 

Unless I am grossly mistaken, not a single Stormtrooper dies via light saber in the original 3 movies (IV-VI). For all the talk about blasters being clumsy, Luke takes out dozens of Stormtroopers using blasters, and wipes out a whole transport load with a hand grenade. The only thing close is he chops off the front of a speeder bike, causing it to crash. But I think that's a technicality. Obi-wan uses his to end a bar brawl, and Vader only chokes imperial forces.

 

But then again, considering how crappy their armor is when it comes to protecting against lasers, rocks, arrows, etc. Why waste your D-batteries using light sabers on them. Those things are mad expensive. 

 

It was a revelation right up there with the first time I realized Edward Norton's character in Fight Club is nameless.
