Do you guys think he really means what he says on talk radio or to the media?? In fact, how many coaches do you think legitimately speak their mind on players to the media? You guys seem to put in too much stock on what him and these coaches say, just my opinion.

As a man who assesses cognitive strengths and weaknesses for a living, it makes me nervous that Rivera has such obvious word finding difficulties.  He also tends to slur some words, constantly shows speech repetition and tends to struggle pronouncing certain letter combinations.

I think Kearse makes it over Fua. Star/Cole at NT. Dwan/Short at UT. Then Kearse who can play both.

I think Rivera is genuinely a good dude and he is scared to criticize without some positive reinforcement. Not saying he's soft, but Fua deserves zero positive reinforcement. Maybe that's why we start slow under Rivera. Maybe guys are just too comfortable.

that's what I was thinking too. I feel like if guys have a good attitude and come in putting in the work everyday he doesn't want to let them go. And it can work the other way with his Doghouse too.

I wouldn't use Cams verbal skill to assess his abilities at his job like I would for Rivera.  Let me explain:

 

Cam does not necessarily need high scores in Verbal IQ.  Cam's abilities are going to rely on his performance IQ.  Skills assessed through perceptual organization and his processing speed.   Rivera on the other hand must have a higher Verbal IQ score in order to perform his job.  I would want to assess his verbal comprehension and working memory skills.
