Meet Filomena Tobias, the Heat fan who gave Joakim Noah the finger

The woman who shot the bird directly in his face following the Bulls' historically lopsided 115-78 loss in Miami has been identified: Filomena Tobias, formerly Phyllis Tobias, neé Filomena Manente, of Jupiter, Florida.

Tobias is the widow of hedge fund manager and CNBC contributor Seth Tobias. Mr. Tobias, her fourth husband, was found dead in the swimming pool of his Jupiter, Florida mansion in 2007. Stop here if you want "mere decadence," and do not want to hit the throttle and soar into "purely Floridian insanity," because that is where it is headed.

The problem is that fans are too close to players in the NBA and NHL. They need to redesign the arenas, even if it means less seats. This is also why the Pacers-Pistons brawl happened. This wouldn't happen in the NFL, MLB or soccer because there is distance between the players and fans in most scenarios.

The gesture is offensive but the bigger problem, i reiterate, is how close she is to a player. The Duke Blue Devils fans are nearly touching players on inbound passes in the NCAA.

I think players should have to tolerate any comments from fans, no matter how vulgar they are. But I think it's not acceptable to have someone put their hand that close to your face.

Also in the picture there are two people in suits who look like their job is to make sure fans are behaving. Neither seem interested in doing their job in the picture.
