Who's the better receiver?

The threads will always exist for non-athletes to agonize over. 8 pages later, others cant resist to get involved since its just so preposterous to ask. You can talk about luck and system having everything to do with which player the stats nerds ignore. Chance is everything and sometimes a guy just doesnt get a break.

 

That being said, if you just open your eyeballs and not be tarded you can see LaFell:

 

1) blocking better than Gettis

2) catching better than Gettis (more aggressive in the air too)

3) is a better ball carrier than Gettis

4) Isnt afraid to take a hit

 

 

 

Well, 4 is speculation at this point I admit but I have heard murmurs and they seemed to be the kind of murmurs that are true.  And btw LaFell isnt slow, he's quite shifty and pretty fast. His acceleration is likely just as good as Gettis' as well.

That's a hard question to answer considering Gettis hasn't played in 2 seasons. Now we can all speculate what if Gettis was healthy and what not - but at the time Lafell is better by default. I really cannot see anyone justifying Gettis being better at this point. 

 

Now from a personal perspective and assuming Gettis never was injured, I think he would be better now. I personally believe Gettis is still CAPABLE of being better than Lafell. Hopefully we get the oppurtunity to witness his potential this season with a good QB.

Lafell is a much better receiver at this point in time. The coaching staff knows this. If you think you know better than any nfl coaching staff (including the raiders), u dum.
