A player that will surprise us this season

I'm going away from the herd on this one, but I have one for each phase of the game (and I'm probably going to be wrong, as usual):

Offense: Silo - 2nd year allows the game to slow down for him, and will be much improved over last year. Expect big runs to the left from Stewie.

Defense: Keiser - I think he'll surprise a bunch of folks working in a backup rotation for CJ, and put up numbers close to Alexander's last year

Special Teams: Lineberry - Don't ask me why, but I think this kid will supplant Geno and surprise us all with some game-winners this year.

I won't be surprised if Gettis is not only on the team this year, but makes great plays for us. I still feel there's something special about him, and he has yet to show us his finest. Also won't be surprised to see Pilares do well either. I'm not sure why there's such love for Adams, and I think the AE experiment ends this year. It's not the first time this coaching staff has released a 2nd year player, so if that's your basis for why Adams sticks, you may want to rethink your logic. Plus, AE just hasn't shown enough in the games he's been in to warrant yet another year, and Adams has had fumbilitis since he got here.

Yeah, I can see Smitty, Hixon, Ginn, LaFell, Gettis, and Pilares as our six WR - if we go seven, add in Bryant to the mix. Good combo of size and speed for him.

LIke CRA said, Frank Alexander. Although I think second in sacks might be out of reach simply because of playing time and our rotation barring injuries of course. From what I saw from Frank last year he has many facets to his game, great frame, great motor, hard-working. Can't wait to see what another NFL offseason, workouts, and training camp do for the guy. Majorly talented dude.

I don't have CJ and Hardy doing what they did last year....

So Frank comes into play in by guess. Plus it is a little bit if wishful thinking bc we need it to happen

I think Pilares is far better than AE and Adams. And since everyone is ready to Jettison Deangelo (which I think is crazy) he could be an emergency back up running back for us.

Now to the question at hand.

Offensively David Gettis knows it is put up or shut up. He been with the team for three years and should be a good route runner and his

speed should cause some difficulties for defenses.

Honorable Mention T. Ginn. He had good numbers in Miami ONCE and going to SF all they did was run him on Special teams. He is going to come in and show he is ready to compete. Could you imagine, Smitty, and Gettis stretching the field and Ginn having lots of room to run.

Defensively it has to be Norman. I think he got humbled last year and learned that he wasn't "IT" yet when Rivera benched him.

Honorable Mention D J. Campbell. Rivera loved his smarts.

If DJ and Norman improve. This defense will give the offense ample opportunity to put enough points on the board to win.
