it's easy....i don't live close enough and the trip is too expensive for me and my family.

i do what i can, when i can, how i can.

got a problem with that?

that make you a better fan?

Not at all. Your response minus the end is the type of reason I was looking for. I'm talking about people that live within a hour or two of the stadium.

Now c'mon Rayzor, I don't think he was saying any of that.  I'm pretty sure, and I don't want to speak out of turn here, the post was probably aimed at local fans that don't show up to games.  It's evident at this current juncture of Panther history that Panther fan attendance is way down.  Most likely because of poor performance by the team, but down all the same.  It's a fair question to those in the area why they wont support the team the best way they can.

the answer is easy then...most local football fans aren't panther fans.

when the team first started, there were fans from all over coming to see them. it was an exciting time back then. nowadays, the only way you're going to consistently fill the home stadium with panther fans is to attract the not so local fans back...give them a reason to come back.

the first step is to start consistently winning games.

it wasn't stated. it was an attempt to call out fans who don't go to games...probably with an unrealistic idea of who lives close and who is able to go. i was bringing reality into it. you don't have to go to games to be a good fan and going to games doesn't make you a better fan.

and it's been something that has been talked about for years. some (some...not all...not most) PSL owners tend to think that they are better fans because of their financial commitment or whatever and will act like theirs is the only opinions that matters. it's not so common these days as it used to be, but this isn't the first time it's been brought up at all. people who go to games calling out those who don't.

No he was. He has posted as much in other threads after the draft.

But back on topic. I'm gonna try and make it to the SF game at SF if I have the money. I've got friends who are huge 9ers fans I will be with so hopefully I wont get stabbed in the neck when we win and I'm doing my superman poses in all their faces while wearing my Kalil jersey and Panthers hat.

you win games, you'll get more support from the locals and more panther jerseys in the seats. it's really that simple.

gotcha, but that probably should have been stated because it wasn't understood. you've been calling out fans for not showing up and it sounds like you are calling out all fans, but the truth is, even if you are local, it's not feasible for all fans. they don't need to justify themselves or their lack of attendance.

if you're a fan....you're a fan. there are no good fans or bad fans. each one supports in their own way and that should be fine.

Do I feel as though I have more of a right to complain because I spend my time and money on the team? Absolutely. With that being said this thread wasn't about that. I was simply trying to gather reasons as to why people don't attend the games.

If you live far away you can't control that. If you have other financial obligations I understand that to. I just wanted to generate some responses as to why our home games look like away games that's all. No reason to be upset.

not upset, it's just that this kind of thing has been done before with the attempt that some are trying to make themselves out to be better fans than others. if that wasn't your aim, cool. this was more a reaction to that being done before and expecting it because of that.
