Would be we better off without DeAngelo?

Yea I agree that circular logic is your M.O.

Okay, so tell me what I am missing so I can get out of this circular logic.Deangelo Williams averaged more YPC (both last season and for his entire career), had more rushing TDs than Stewart has had last two years combined, had as many receiving TDs than Stewart the last 2 seasons combined, averaged more yards per completion in the passing game last season, had 7 games of with a YPC greater than 4.0 while Stewart had 2 (in nine games),had 4 games of 60 yards rushing or more while Stewart had 0.

All this in Deangelo Williams worst season of his career.

So what is circular about that?  What is the circular logic?

The only time I use circular logic is when I am making light of people saying 'Well if we remove the New Orleans game...."  I did that to make a joke about cherry picking stats.

well for one you're completely ignoring Stewart's slew of injuries he had to work with last year

and for a second point you're missing the fact that the RB position really isn't all that important anymore, hence your 800 posts in this thread skewing stats.

Honestly, I am trying to find one stat that Stewart is better than D-Will.

Even if you took Stewart's two previous seasons when I guess he didn't have as many injuries.

Deangelo had 5 rushing TDs in 2012.  Stewart in 2011 and 2010 had 6 combined.  Deangelo has had a higher YPC in every single season they have played together except 2010 when Deangelo was also playing hurt.

Deangelo has 38 rushing TDs since they have been together, Stewart has 27.  They have almost identical receiving stats since they have been together.

I don't want to beat up on Stewart.  I like Stewart and I hope he just had a down year and next year he breaks out, especially if D-Will is gone.

But I just can't find much evidence to suggest that cutting Deangelo makes us a better football team, but there is a lot of evidence that we would be worse.

I understand the worries about his contract and will understand if he gets cut, but that contract isn't his fault.  And I don't really see anyone out there right now in FA that would fill that void in our offense, and I think our offense is really, really good this season and would like for it to stay in tact if it is possible to make the numbers work.

Williams shouldn't be a back up and I thought we made a bad choice when we demoted him last season.

But my original point was that if we cut him it would be better for us cap wise but we will be a worse team for it on Sundays next season.

He is under appreciated because of his contract and that isn't his fault.

Stewart was the primary RB in 2011....offense looked damn good if you ask me. Team can pretty much do anything with Stewart on the field....

Offense is restricted with Williams bc he can't do as many things well like Stewart
