How will Mike Shula change our offense?

^ Tell me what players on the Bucs compared to Cam, Smitty, Lafell, Stewart, Tolbert?

Dunn and Alstott were a better tandem.

But more to the point, I don't feel Shula was able to maximize production from the given talent due to poor coaching.

I am worried he still will not be able to. Maybe because he has a legit NFL play book now he will be better. We shall see.

Do you think John Fox dictated the type gameplan Davidson called from up in the box? Or do you think Davidson could draw up anything offense and call up a game anyway he wanted.

Do you think on 3rd and long Fox encouraged the play be called....be a draw or was that all Davidson

Davidson worked from the sideline....FWIW

so what about all the busts that go to teams with strong coaches?

His logic has many flaws. The truth of the matter is we don't know because Shula lacked talent to run an offense the way he might have wanted. He was handcuffed with subpar talent and a below to average QB. Name one OC in the league that could have scored more points with Dilfer, Dunn, and Alstott. A QB a RB and FB. It's just laughable. I'm not saying Zod is wrong for thinking Shula could suck, It's just his logic isn't sound.

We have no idea how Shula will be with Cam simply because Shula has never had talent to work with.

again, what evidence is there that he didn't suck in tampa or alabama? what evidence is there that he's gotten better?

I'll wait......not really bc i know it can't be done. and it can't be done until he has a success as a playcaller of any kind instead of excuses for why both experiences as a play caller sucked and why no one has hired him or really even tried to hire him to do the job again.

Why is the Huddle focused on Newton and the offense?

When you draft Cam Newton and then in the proceeding draft do nothing to upgrade the offense that was horrid when Newton got here...it means you are banking on your defense to carry the load.

If the offense manages 20 points next year...I expect our talent rich, highly drafted defense to hold the opposing offenses to under that.

Spoken like a true fan.....or at least one who has no clue what he is talking about.

The only think horrid about the offense when Newton got here was the QB position.

Gross/Kalil/Smitty/LaFell/Stew/DWill/Tolbert/etc......the offense has plenty of weapons.

If used correctly (balanced attack), this offense is DAMN good.

Well then I going to need this truly talented offense to not let the QB consistently be the leading rusher...

And I am sure when ATL is game planning for CAR they are thinking "damn how we going to stop Lafell."

There is literally no one in this offense that scares any opposing defense (cam excluded).

All I am saying is...if you want to focus on drafting a defense and not giving this offense more play makers then

the Huddle/media/team/coaches needs to focus on making sure the defense can carry the weight and hold offenses under 20 points.

But don't not draft or trade for offensives pieces and then look at the offense like "why aren't yall scoring 35?"

Which by week 2 I am sure is exactly what the Huddle will do if the offense scores 23 but the defense gives up 24.

OL was much better in 2010 than what we will line up week 1 in 2013

The reason that Cam was the leading rusher had absolutely nothing to do with the talent at RB....it had to do with the play calling of Chud.

You don't think teams are afaid of DWill/Stew and Smitty/Olsen....then you have proven that your football knowledge is pretty limited.
