Forgot about the ankle my bad. I still don't think it was a terrible idea however, could hurney really have known beast was going to blow his achilles?

Beason should've never been on the field in that condition.  He'd just recently had a "minor" surgical procedure on that Achilles.  Hindsight is always 20/20, but it wasn't exactly surprising when he went down and as soon as it happened everyone knew exactly what it was.

Sounds familiar to TD's last time. We have always had a questionable medical staff.

Absolutely.  TD's and Beason's situations were handled abysmally.  Everyone blames Otah for being lazy - and maybe he is - but when you look at the fact his situation was (I presume) handled by the same training staff that botched TD's and Beason's recoveries (as well as possibly Brandon Hogan's), it does make you pause and wonder if things could've turned out differently.  It makes me worry for Kalil.  I honestly hope he's doing most of his rehab elsewhere.  IMO, it probably hurts us lure free agents.  If I was a free agent or an agent advising my client, it's definitely something I would take into consideration.

Congrats to Kasay who is clearly a class act.

He has been one of the elite and most clutch kickers in NFL history during his time at Carolina. It is unfortunate that no his resume' his legacy resides in the Super Bowl kickoff.

I always hear that Brady woulda drove up the field regardless...but we will never know.

Regardless, Kasay is at a 100-1 good cheer vs WTF and now that he is gone you realize how much he did take care of...kickoffs and butt growth be dammed!!
