My pops and a possum

When Jones passed my old man took it pretty hard. Him and possum were close. Tragedy initially brought them together. Cold beer and picking guitars forged their friendship. I remember the stories of Jones and Willie getting drunk, putting sheets on and going to Charlie Pride's house to fug with him. Charlie would run out in a panic and they'd take off the sheets and have to run. Thought I'd post a few pics in honor of my dads friend, someone who he looked up to and found comfort in when all hope was lost.

Never listened to much George Jones but a buddy of mine did a whole set with his band in his honor. Gotta respect a guy that positively influenced a great amount of people. Really cool your Dad knew him, he was one of the lucky ones.
