Star/Short vs. Dareus/Cox/Brockers

Going into the draft I like Star more than I liked any of the previous mentioned DTs, by a lot. I did like Brockers quite a bit more than Short and I'd have put Cox on about equal ground, maybe a hair above. But those are all mid to high 1st round guys vs Short who was a mid 2nd round guy. I think Star will come in and have a substantial impact right away. Maybe not on the stat sheet but definitely on the production of the players around him. Short might have a little longer development period.

Yea, I think it's okay to compare Short to Cox and Brockers bc even though he's a 2nd rounder, to me and a lot of other people he's a 1st round talent. But I agree he will be develop slowly.

In general, Dareus shouldn't be in the discussion because we wouldn't have Cam Newton if we drafted him.

Just compare talents please. I never said to imagine taking Dareus over Cam. Compare Star to Dareus.

And no, why Cox to Star? Star is a NT like Dareus, not UT (Cox).

Star is the best "prospect" of them all, hands down.

Saying any more than that without seeing them all play and develop over 3 years is impossible.
