When I was running a crew for my dads construction company, we had this mason crew that would bring their own microwave and every one of them would bring left overs from home. It was a fuging Mexican buffet every day, was awesome.

False, it's just more of a regional holiday for the Mexican state of Puebla. People in the US get it confused as a Mexico's independence day, when all it really celebrates in Mexico is a victory over the French army in the "Battle of Puebla".

It really shouldn't count anyway, everyone beats the French.
