The rotation will all have to do with down and distance. There are so many different variations. It should also be known KK played a lot of time at NT as well.

3rd n short - Hardy/KK or Dwan/Star/CJ

3rd n long - Alexander/Hardy/KK/CJ

1st n 2nd downs - Hardy/KK/Star/CJ

and there still SEVERAL different formations... DAMN!!! this Dline and the rotation could and should be super sick!

The versatility this DL possesses is a Rivera wet dream. This just gives Rivera more ammunition to run his dream D.

How would that compare to DTs across the league or more importantly, how would it compare to other rookie DTs in the past?  I do know Brockers didn't play much for St. Louis early on last year because they wanted to slowly incorporate him into the defense more and more and Raji didn't play too much either as a rookie until down the stretch.

Star has a much bigger hill to climb adapting to the pro's as well as 3 more games a year to be concerned with comparing what Dwan Edwards has been doing as an 8 year pro...

If you have 120 snaps at DT between the two spots, 30 to Star, 30 to Dwan, 30 to Short, 15 to the 4th guy and 15 of ends playing inside, you're really splitting it fairly evenly. And 80+% is to a starting level player. Compare that to having one good player in Dwan at 50/game, meaning more than half went to a substandard player* or a player out of position.

*Ron Edwards isn't that good, no.

I'd imagine this would be a welcome change from the 91% of defensive snaps he played last year at Utah.  Plus it makes sense, he's a rookie DT who's conditioning won't be at peak level right now.  Keep 'em fresh for lasting use.

Heard the Sirius interview with Chico and PK this PM......

- Star is expected to start with Dwan and assuming 60 plays/game share 30-40 snaps

- KK and Cole will play the other 20-30...no mention of Fua/Kearse

- Star played the zero technique at Utah and will be used in a 3 man front, but 4-3 will be base

- KK already uses his hands like a vet and flips his hips better than most vet 3 tech., which helps his backfield penetration.

- Kugbila will contribute this year, but did not say he would start right away.

- We had the Ala S and La CB rated high enough that it was like getting two more draft choices.
