Dallas Clark or Kellen Winslow?

Clark would benefit our team more bc he's a legit blocker, but he have been injury proned the last couple of years.

Winslow would be an added receiving threat for Cam but he comes with issues. Though, he can give us the attitude on offense like how Shockey did. And Shockey was a worse player than Winslow. He worked out, why can't Winslow.

The only thing that bothers me is the fact that by all accounts Winslow was productive last pre-season, so much so that the Seattle media and faithful were shocked when he was cut. Dallas Clark on the other hand was really a non-issue in the Bucs' offense, so much so that the Bucs haven't shown any interest in bringing him back. That being said, I would take Winslow.

He was released, reportedly at his request by the Patriots in late September of last year.

All the other teams across the league had opportunity to sign him at any point in remainder of the season. None did.

With that in mind, I'm not that worried that were missing out on anything.

Just watched some highlights of Nelson Rosario.  Guy looked impressive and had great hands.

 

Was a WR at UCLA....converted to TE.  Nice pass catching option.

 

Also nice to hear both Gettleman and Smitty mention him several times.

That's exactly the point. He wasn't trying to play football at the time, so of course no teams tried to sign him. He didn't want to be signed. He apparently does now. I hear what you're saying, but if he is in football shape---his knees and mind---we could do a lot worse.

I don't think anyone believes his mind is in good shape. That's why nobody was then - or is now - trying to sign him.

Heck, even when we had Chudzinski (who seemed to be obsessed with getting every tight end that ever played for the University of Miami) we didn't go after him. What does that tell you?

Kellen Winslow, guy has the potential to be one of the best TE's in the league so I would hope we could get that out of him.

If a guy can't give his all playing for a championship team, I'm doubtful.

I think you have a better chance getting Jeff Otah to be a pro bowl RT than making Winslow not be a turd.
