Yeah it SHOULD be the best movie of the summer, so I hope it lives up to the hype.

 

Although there is a lot of good flicks coming out.

 

I expect movie sales to break records.

Not sure why, but the reboot doesn't excite me. I did like the Kirk / Bones comradery in the first.

I do want to see the Ender's Game trailer though.

A new timeline, oldest story in the ST universe. After destroying Vulcan, they (Abrams and Berman) made it clear they were going a whole new way with it and mignt never touch on Kahn. or any OTL stories.

I hate the ship and I hate the bridge. I like Scotty but hate the thing that hangs around him. Liked the story but hated the stupid plot holes needed to keep it going. Like the actors, like the Uhura/Spock thing, like McCoy.

 

Did I mention how much I hate the ship and the bridge? And the brewery?

 

But I love JJ Abrams, Super8 is an all time top movie for me, so I will be there opening night, in fact I may be going with a couple of guys who worked on the movie, fingers crossed

I saw it today and it was really really good. I'm not a fan of the originals though. It has a ton of great action and a plot that I had no idea where it was going. 

 

 

John Harrison really is Khan. Klingons are in the movie. Captian Pike dies, and at one point Captain Kirk dies, but after about 15 minutes he's revived. You really think he's dead though

I thought it was a great movie, but it doesn't really feel like Star Trek to me.  I grew up watching Next Generation with my dad so that's probably why.  I understand that the movies have to be like this to attract people th the theatres, so that's cool.  I liked it a lot though, especially the guy who plays Harrison, who is on Sherlock on BBC (watch this if you haven't).  He stole the show IMO.

I enjoyed the movie. Good story, good villain, good character development.  Was a lot better than i expected. Star Trek> Fast 6

I actually really really loved this movie. Granted I have never seen an old episode or movie of Trek in my life, but I loved this movie. I'd go as far to say that I enjoyed it more than the Dark Knight Rises which I'm a big fan of.
