Not gonna lie, if we win the lotto and get Noel it sets the team up perfectly to tank next year. You can act like you addressed the team's complete lack of big men with the draft even though he wont be playing when the season starts, so you suck next year then the following year you have another top pick, a full season of Noel, and you make fans forget about 3 straight terrible seasons by calling yourselves the "Hornets"

Lol agree.

But I would not mind a McLemore (2013) and Julius Randle (2014) combo.

Though, a Noel and Wiggins/Parker is more intriguing. The only thing with this is, where would MKG play?

You don't tank, if there are players there that you feel fit the system and team for the right price you get them. There are way too many draft bust to base your future on tanking and losing respect of fans and players.

My thought, trade this years pick for a quality player and a first next year.

Then bank on having 4 first round picks in 2014. Assuming ours will be top five, then take the other three and trade for another top five pick.

Honestly no one on this roster is good enough to be on a playoff team. the cats have fuged up draft after draft after draft. We just need to put all our eggs into the 14 draft hope we hit a homerun and then sign one guy to a max deal that is intrigued by playing with a wiggins/parker

I've actually seen a little talk that Parker could slip to 4/5 in the draft as opposed to 1/2.  Could be huge for the Bobcats to land Wiggins at 1 and Parker in that 4-5 range.

PG - Kemba

SG - Wiggins?

SF - MKG?

PF - Parker

C - Noel/FA

One hell of a young nucleus

Both scenarios could work, but I prefer the second one.

If we take McLemore that potentially gives us an excellent shooting guard to complement Kemba Walker. It gives us a guy that can score 20 points a night without too much trouble. He has his question marks but I think he'd be a good fit. And then if we end up with Randle he has a lot of potential, shame he didn't come out this year, but needs to work on his defense. This combination allows to us to potentially have a team of: Kemba (PG), McLemore (SG), MKG (SF), Randle (PF), and Biz ©. Though as to what that team's ceiling is I am unsure, and it may be lacking in defensive presence as well, but it is a good base.

As for taking Noel, that would give us a dominant defensive presence on court whether he plays at PF or C. A pairing of Biz and Noel could be a decent pairing. They won't be great offensively, but as defensively minded players they could give us a solid backbone. Then if we add Wiggins/Parker the following year, then that will give us a potentially franchise changing player that could light up the score box. I like the idea of a potential line up of: Kemba (PG), Hendo? (SG), Wiggins/Parker (SF), Biz (PF/C), and Noel (PF/C). I think that this is a better base defensively, and also gives us a better offense as well.

But in either scenario we will probably end up looking to a big name free agent or two to come in.

As for what will happen to MKG. Good question. I think next year he'll need to improve significantly to prove to this organisation that he is our starting small forward of the future. But personally if we do end up with the first or second pick, I find it difficult to envisage us turning down Wiggins or Parker. Personally I think he could end up being a good sixth man, or perhaps traded away in order to land an extra first round pick (for example, a top ten pick could grab us Harrison, Young, or Hezonja at SG; or Randle at PF.

I guess another scenario is that MKG could remain our SF if Wiggins and Parker continue to grow. Both guys are 6'8 right now, and Parker has decent size to go with his height. So could they be our starting PF if Noel/Biz is our starting C? Or would we lack enough defensive presence in that scenario?

Overall, I think MKG's future is not entirely in his hands unless he has an absolutely belter of a season. Because if we get a top two pick, I can't see us passing on Wiggins and Parker; but if we land the third pick to fifth pick, then I think we'll end up with Randle, Smart or Harrison most likely.
