DraftPanthers.com Way Too Early Draft Grade

Recommended Posts

i have a problem with the way he graded kugbila.

the two things he docked him for the most was where he was drafted and that he wasn't a RT. the assumption is that we should have used that pick on a RT, but i disagree...not that we didn't need or shouldn't have drafted a RT, but just where he was drafted. you look for guards in that range and when you do so, you find solid talent. that's where you should be drafting your guards. you shouldn't be drafting OTs there, though. the level of talent of a guard in the fourth round is pretty equal to the level of talent you get from a guard a round or two earlier and that has mainly to do with the value of OTs to OGs. OTs are just mkre valuable and go earlier than OG.

i think also that hangartner isn't here long term and if he is, it's for depth, tho to start the year and for probably most if it he will be starting ahead of kugbila. i watched a lot of valdosta st last night from the past couple years just to see what there was to kugbila...and i came away impressed.

here in a little while I'm going to make a thread about it.

overall, tho, i like the write up esp. the take on grading rookies. pretty impressive, tbh.
