CREDIBILITY WATCH: David Gettleman

Recommended Posts

I am disappointed we haven't been able to add a bit more on offense, but there is still time. A good target would be a pass catching TE, and we could easily fit one under the cap, especially if DWill becomes a June 1st cut. Throw in another vet at RG until Edmund develops, and I'm very satisfied with his first offseason.

I love the LB and RB picks just for the cap relief they will inevitably bring, whether this year or next.

He seems to have us on the right track for long term success. Now let's see what the coaching staff can do with the pieces they have been given.

went the safe route, reached on the d2 o lineman. i mean, he was gonna be gone in round 6 with the Barret kid from Bama sitting there.

Hixon is his guy and no wr was drafted.

load up on d since offense is where most of the upheaval comes from after a regime change.

I think thus far he has done a good job plugging holes in a week Dline that needed help for years. Most of the reporters and annalists are screaming about CB's and Wr's, but truthfully the money was not there to get them.  A strong Dline and LB can make the jobs of a weaker secondary easier and make them look better than just average. Lets see how this plays out this season.

I don't recall having one of these for Hurney.

I'm going to save my grades on personnel moves, atleast until a single snap in a real game is played.

yep same, but we can only do that legitimately this year. We cant go back and say "two years ago was a bad draft. .  or three years ago". If the they show promise now then Gettleman did his job and he's giving Rivera a chance to train them. What happens from there is chance and luck.
