What if's and depth picks...

Kugbila: If Gettleman liked Kugbila more than the other OL prospects available and put a high value on improving the OL, there's no reason to wait and HOPE he's still there in the 5th or 6th. Just because talking heads and internet GMs had him as a 5th or 6th round pick doesn't mean REAL GMs did. In that situation, you take the guy you want because there's no guarantee he'll be there later even if the interwebz says he should.

Klein: The is the pick I liked the least, but after mulling over it a bit I'm ok with it. LB depth was needed, and if this guy was a 3rd or 4th round guy like Gettleman/Rivera was saying then it was a good pick.

Barner: I didn't like this pick at first, but mostly because I was doing my "take Rambo" mantra as the pick was being announced. After thinking about it for a few minutes, and looking up his videos on youtube, he absolutely can be the scatback Ron has been craving since he got here. He only had 19 receptions, but every reception I saw was smooth and potentially gamebreaking. I see no reason he can't get more than that here. He looks like he has big hands for his size, caught with good fluidity, over the shoulder, etc. He also seemed to have very good vision and was good at following his blocks. He took it up the middle and weaved through tacklers better than you'd expect someone his size. He might not get tons of gametime to start out, but he won't be a redshirt... I'm guessing he gets at least 2-4 touches a game to start, more if he does big things with those starting touches.

regarding Kugbila, had his SAT scores been good enough he would have been at Bama instead of Valdosta St. On The Drive today they mentioned that Gettleman called Saban to ask about Kugbila, which I would think speaks highly of this kid's abilities. Zarzour also said he texted someone on the Bama staff to ask about him and he was told that Kugbila would have started on Bama's O-Line this year if they had had him

I think we're gonna end up with a steal

Sure, but I rather ban a cry baby. The draft is over man. Quit whining the same thing youve been whining two days ago.

Conversing bad picks is whining now? Oh i should just agree with everything the panthers brash shoves in my face now. I should believe ryan khalil this year when he tells us were going to the super bowl...
