I wasn't dogging you, was more of a compliment to your knowledge vs the average huddler. It would be kind of like most of the board knowing who Kate Upton was and Biscuit(darth urious) being the last to find out as he is the top boob scout the lovely ladies forum has.

Agreed. I don't always agree with CRA's assessment. But, he is always informed and does his homework.

I also try to let my bias be known...and Gettlemen never rubbed me right so I can admit I probably haven't done my homework on him like I do pieces of our franchise I an enthusiastic about. I kind of immediately have put him in the "not sure about this guy" category the moment I felt he was not "all in" on Cam.

let's start there....G-Man has an eye for talent. G-Man was never a scout for the college ranks. He never drafted players. We don't know who in NY he was reponsible for. Hell, maybe David Carr went to NY b/c of G-Man. We don't know much about G-Man....yet.

Well you're wrong about this part. Gettleman started out as a college scout and worked as one for a while

more than that, he worked with BLESTO who is one of a couple organizations responsible for assessing talent throughout college and narrowing it down to the best prospects for teams to look at and also deciding who gets an invite to the combine.

i just can't stand to see this team flounder anymore and i'm tired of them settling on mediocre at best and safe coaches just to see us continue the trend of being a team with potential that just can't get the job done. i want us to have the balls it takes to be a dominant team.

at CRA regarding 3 hog mollies in a row...i kind of felt the same way, but i can understand and i'm explaining it like this to myself...

when you build a team, the top priority is getting yourself a franchise QB. next priority in building a team is building the trenches and then building outward. it all starts in the trenches so and i think this is how gettleman is viewing it. that's where he's got to start in building the team through the draft and i can't blame him for doing that way. he's taking what we have and then filled holes with better options than what we had in FA and then building from the foundation up in the draft, if that makes sense.

his team has to start out with a solid base and he added what he saw we needed to create that strong base we need to build on. adding klein and blackburn were needed elements to a stud core with injury issues. barner was just getting a proven TD scorer.

he's building it right and i think we just have to wait to have other key elements added, but i think within a couple years this team will be dominant and balanced in a way that it's never been before.

But as you know, anyone who thinks Newton's running should be systematically removed from his game this early in his career.....I got little use for.

All I had was a small sound bite...I just didn't like the way it hit my ears. His thick accent also rubs me wrong. Wouldn't be the first time I initially disliked someone in Carolina and ended up loving them. I hope that is the case

Draft is so hit or miss...I just worry about 3 fatties not having weight issues and that derailing them. The fact one was a 400 pounder not long ago also made me nervous.
