Before anyone starts spouting off about how any of the draft picks look in OTAs or summer school let me give my annual reminder of how those practices mean absolutely nothing in terms of how the rookies will look this year.

They are not allowed any contact. Trying to evaluate a rookie DT or LB without allowing them to touch other players is like evaluating a tennis player without a tennis ball.

Want to talk about their work ethic, punctuality, or haircut? Fine.

Want to draw conclusions on how they look? Ridiculous

We won't have any clue on how these guys progress until a couple weeks into training camp when they put on their pads and have their first scrimmage.

I know I know, you all know this already.

also, WRs dropping passes and even QBs overthrowing them isn't really an issue at that point.

it's more important learning routes and where everyone is supposed to be and their assignments. they can fine tune the stuff in TC. it's ok to make mistakes in the learning stage.
