Camp Battles. Who will win?

He's the same guy that allowed him to play soft coverage while the bears lined up and ran the same fuging play down the field. Rivera's opinion is garbage in my eyes. I called Josh Norman garbage from day one while people on here sucked him off like he was great. Then he finally gets benched and we start winning games. Coincidence? I think not.

When Rivera's job was on the line he sent Norman to the bench. Think about that. That speaks lowder than the praises he's singing now.

Did I say Rivera?????? No I think I said Gettelmen and since he didn't draft Norman nor has any loyalty to him. It should mean more coming from him. He has no reason to talk up Norman but he did.

What game did he lose us?

Going undefeated had a lot more to do with the whole team, particularly the offense then it did the benching of Norman.

You continue to just talk out your ass.

this. to say that josh norman single handedly lost games for the panthers is retarded. just like always, the entire team woke up at the end of the year...just in time to be too late to make the playoffs.

Go back and watch the Chicago game and see how they ran the SAME slant right at Norman the whole way down the field. Then to top it off Cutler laughed about it after the game saying how easy it was. Tell me why with Rivera's job on the line Norman was reduced to a special teams player while Josh Thomas shined.

You need to re-read KKL comment. Gettlman has been praising him. NOT Rivera. Gettlman said he took the benching to heart and has refocused himself. BTW most rookie DBs struggle year one...and that's a fact.

Calm down sir your right I misread. No doubt he sees the potential. The guy has a lot of potential but last year he was garbage. He has the tools to be good.

I think playing in division 2 he got away on natural ability. Having the "skills" isn't going to work in the nfl. He's going to have to study in do his homework which is why he constantly misguessed routes and played soft. Until then all he will be is potential.

I've watched that game multiple times. Yes, they picked on Norman in the final drive but he managed to keep every play in front of him. Not only that, but why would a HC or DC leave Norman- a rookie late round pick- ALONE on a prennial PB WR? At what point do they decide to roll a safety to his side to help out and allow him to press?

Yep, that's totally on Norman.

Taken care of. Thanks anyway. I had these same arguments last year. You guys keep acting like he wasnt benched for a reason. Yes rookies struggle but show me another starting rookie cb getting benched the way Norman did.

Because they did it against ATL and he got burned by Roddy White not to mention we had the worst safety in NFL history. Ron Rivera fixed it and benched him. You remember what Charles Johnson said after that game right?

He also had a INT on Marshall that would've been a score. Picked off the 2pt conversion (lol). He played his man well the entire game til that final drive.

That was probably my favorite play of the season. He showed flashes last year. I just he really hope gets the mental things down and not try to rely on his natural skills.

His natural skills are what got him this far.

The ONLY real problem he showed last year was confidence and it lead to him being very conservative and giving up huge cusions at the LOS. Outside of that he was very good. I've watched him over and over on NFL Rewind and am very impressed, save that one exception.

Somehow, to you, that qualifies him as garbage.
