Camp Battles. Who will win?

Jobs that are up for Grab going into camp IMO.

1. #2 CB (Norman, Thomas, Dockerey)

2. SS (Mitchell, Campbell, Lester)

3. RG (Edmund, Hanggertner)

4. RT (Campbell, Bell)

5. #3, #4, #5, and if we carry a #6 WR's. (Adams, Hixon, Gettis, Pilaris, Edwards, Bryant, Ginn)

6. #3 TE (Rosario, Williams)

Who do you think will will win these battles? My picks are

1. Josh Norman

2. Mike Mitchell

3. Hangertner

4. Bell

5. Hixon, Gettis, Ginn, Adams (I'm hoping we find a way to keep Byrant)

6. Rosario

I think out outside corners will end up being both Josh's vs Florence.

Slot corner comes down Moore vs Captain vs the loser of the outside corner competition.

SS I agree with whos battling but might add D.J Moore in that mix too. As far as who wins, no clue yet.

RG is likely still Hagmans job. If love to see Kugzilla take it from tho.

RT- no chance Bell gets best out by Campbell

Receivers. Safest bet is to say Hixon takes over the role Murphy played. Just can't rely in Gettis but he has some talent. I agree with who you have making the roster there assuming Gettis comes back healthy.

TE- I don't think # 2 or 3 is settled yet.

DT- this should be an interesting battle between Dwan and Kawann. Gettleman obviously thinks the rookie has got a decent shot at winning, we shall see.

Good thread btw.. Glad someone wants to talk actual football

The DB battles and the WR are going to be great this season. Not trying to guess who wins out just yet. But I will say I don't think there's even a battle between Bell and Campbell. Campbell will be the backup LT. The battle will be between Bell and Williams. And Bell easily wins that.

I expect Hixon to be #3. Ginn's pretty much just a returner and Gettis hasn't played in so long who knows what we have in him. I seriously doubt that we go into training camp without signing a vet RG. That is our biggest hole right now but an easy one to fill.

the panthers expect norman to be the number 1 corner.

from rotoworld...

Panthers GM Dave Gettleman said CB Josh Norman came back from his 2012 rookie-year benching as a "different kid."

Norman, the No. 143 pick out of Coastal Carolina last year, started the first 12 games but rode the bench for the final four weeks. Entering the league, Norman had a reputation for "guessing routes," and that's what got him in trouble as a rookie. As it stands right now, he's Carolina's No. 1 corner. The feeling inside the organization is Norman can develop into a top-tier cover man.

If Lamont Bryant is any good, we shouldn't have to "find" a way to keep him. Bryant had better "find" himself. His physical stature is beast like. Assuming that he has good hands, he has had months to get his route running up to snuff. This training camp may not tell if he has what it takes to reach his ceiling from the perspective of his potential, but it should indicate if he has what it takes to be a legit pro.

    • First of all Sooners fan? Mods? Second if you think someone needs a specific reason to hate Texas you don’t watch real college football.
    • 100% even if rest of team is really talented if they march young out to be qb and he plays like he has for 90% of his starts the panthers have already lost doesnt even matter how good the rest of the team is or isnt and also makes it hard to even tell how good they are.  They need true competition for young this offseason.
    • It will be awesome to have an improved stadium to lose in I guess....   https://www.yahoo.com/news/panthers-file-rezoning-bank-america-111500840.html     The Carolina Panthers have taken another necessary step toward renovating their home of the present and future. Panthers Stadium, LLC, filed its rezoning site plan with the city of Charlotte on Monday, initiating an important — if mostly technical — step toward renovating Bank of America Stadium. The filings state that the rezoning relates “primarily to technical aspects associated with improvements to Bank of America Stadium,” and that the rezoning is required because “the current stadium zoning is out of date” for the team’s stadium renovation plans.   The planned stadium updates include new seats installed throughout the upper and lower bowls; stadium safety and security enhancements; a reimagined South Lawn Pavilion; upgraded restrooms; exterior enhancements (including LED video boards) and more. Planning for the stadium renovation project will continue through 2025, with construction starting in 2026 and the renovation’s conclusion in 2029, The Observer previously reported.
