ED and kriegel were just bitchin about how we didn't get cam any weapons and ignored the secondary. I think in the end we'll see the wisdom of the picks in this draft, but it really does feel like somebody in another thread said that gman is making us take our medicine.

Whoever Ed and kriegel are, tell them everyone else is whining too. I'm sure we could've gotten a weapon for cam on day 3 that compares to Joe Adams or Pilares. Draft wasn't perfect but we fixed the DL unit and got some depth.

Eric Davis is usually pretty positive about us, i was just surprised by his negativity.

We do need to get Cam another weapon. The chips didn't fall that way this draft with Gettleman's mantra. Hopefully next year we'll be in a position to get a future number 1. Or hopefully somebody steps up majorily on this team. who knows.

Most criticism about our draft (from different places) centers around not helping Cam. Like it or not, the criticism is warranted.

First of all, things aren't set in stone. Secondly would a WR or DB who was picked in the 4th round or later really end up even making the team? Do we need more depth or more starters? If depth, then that can be found in free agency or other teams cuts as we go. If a starter, then it likely wasn't going to happen. Can you find starters in lower rounds? Of course you can, but going BPA is always the way to go and that is what we did.

Cam has weapons for right now. My interest in WR was based solely on Smith's age and having someone ready to ascend to his spot when he retires or drops off,
