Aaaaand this is why people don't like The Golden Calf of Bristol... his crazy ass fans/media shitstorm.  I don't have anything against him as a person, but he's a fuging terrible QB.  Just give it up already.

Who's terrible is Blaine Gabbert.  The fan petition is beyond ridiculous, but I'd much rather have The Golden Calf of Bristol than any qb currently on Jacksonville's roster.

Teams that need qb's should be aggressively pursuing a better option. The fact that they havnt brought in anyone with any big talent or potential says that they still want to let the Gabbert contract play out. . . Sigh of relief here for not being a Jags fan. T1m T3bow is not that option

Do you mean the football people who drafted him in the first round or the football people who benched a decent QB in Orton in favor of him?  Maybe you mean the football people for the Steelers who dared him to beat them with his arm.  The only football people who have had him on the roster and not used him are the football people on the Jets.  I am not sure I would call the Jets or anyone associated with the current clusterf*ck they have going on up there a football person.

 

Yes those are the football people I am referencing. Two teams, two fails. Everybody else got it. What is your point?

      I don't agree it's "much better." Bryce has been absolutely god awful, but the D has also allowed the most points in the league and as bad as Bryce is there has not been a single bright spot from the offense around him. OL is yet to be seen, yes I saw the stat on pressures but it paints an incomplete picture considering Bryce panic checkdowns so quickly. I'm not sold on Canales' scheme yet either. We will know much more following Sunday's game with Dalton starting. This year's team might be better than last year, but I'm not convinced yet.

      Of course he’s having regular meetings. We literally just benched our 2023 #1 overall pick. Canales was hired for the exact same reasons that we all wanted to see happen in 2024. Figure out if Young could ever be the guy. It doesn’t take a rocket scientist to think they likely saw the same poo all the announcers and fans saw. I agree that is 99.999% likely that Canales walked into Tepper’s office this morning and said, yep Tep, it’s as bad as we thought last week. The kid ain’t it and we need to move on and decide what we’ve got on this team and Dan’s gotta jump on the scouts and figure out the next QB.
