He came in with a shoulder injury. That played a factor into why he was hesitant. I expect him to return to form this season though.

Even is Beason plays well this season, there is still two issues.

1. He is being paid like a top tier MLB....hard to have that kind of money tied up in that position.

2. Beason really wants to play MLB in this league.

Based on those two facts, there is a real possibility that his days in Carolina are somewhat numbered.

We would want to reduce his costs....but he would not likely be willing to do it.
