What are you looking for in Cam next year?

Accuracy. It's there because i've seen ridiculous passes from him, he just needs to be more consistent.

In ATL he should never have had the ball, that's why we have like 20 running backs.

Not going for it on 4th down lost us the game. That is on Rivera, and his decision making abilities are an aspect that if he can't improve upon we will be going nowhere this year regardless.

Better decision making and nominal pressing. I would like for him to keep INTs down to single digits.

Aren't most the majority of his "pressing" moments near the end of games when the D doesn't stop opponents and he has no choice but to try something bc punting isn't an option?

My concern with Cam lay in the offense, not so much him. If we stick to a Chud type of offense (minus the spread/zone read) then I think he'll do well. It'll be his third year in the same offense with the same key guys. If we can keep him vertical then I feel he'll improve.

However, if Shula departs from what we've seen the last two years I think will hurt the whole O and of course Cam will be to blame for it.

You do realize the zone read has been part of Cam's success right? It isn't a bad thing at all used properly (which outside of maybe 2-3 games in his career it has been the right mix) ....which is why half the NFC post season teams ran it

Only in that game bc of Cam. No excuse for us losing after we didn't get that yard. Not Cam's fault.

Problem is people want to claim it is Cam late. It is the fact the team around him can't do basics when he isn't on the field late.

Like I said, a QB can do X....and it is often what the D or ST does that determines if he gets to be viewed as clutch or not.

I have to totally disagree. Of all the close games we have lost, so many could have been won by moving the clock and icing the games. Those things werent done.

Pussy ass football needs to end.

Who was it against last year where we had 3 timeouts and over a minute to go before halftime and Rivera wasted the clock and burned the timeouts before we could even kick a field goal, Cam was pissed. I think it was in Kansas City.

Perhaps. I don't think we have a way to prove it. I could be wrong, but I remember some pressing all throughout the games the first half of last season. Of course there is the factor of Chud's play calling, but you can't put everything on the OC. Cam is the field general. He seemed to turn a corner the second half of last season, and I'll look forward to continued progression without retrogression. Consequently, during this same period he was learning to check down to his second and third option than trying to get it all in one play.

I'd like quicker reads and a better job going through his progressions. Too often he tries to go for the big play rather than take what is given to him. Of course some of that is on play calling, but there were also a lot of passes forced to Smith when he was in tight coverage, sometimes double or triple covered. And we all saw there were stretches of plays or even games where Olsen would be open consistently but he wouldn't even be looking for him. All of this stuff he got better at towards the end of the season, but I want him to be consistent at it over the course of the full season.

Still Cam is the easy blame.

You want the clock run out? Our RBs couldn't pick up any yards late. Is that how it is done? But Cam should of used his Jedi mind power to of made it so. Go look late at games when we attempted to run the clock out and picking first down.....goes back to he just doesn't he the aid "clutch" QBs often do.

Didn't matter how we ran the RBs. Run game was weak. No help from anyone late in games....you could always tell when the INT was coming. Cam always got to points where he simply had to force it
