Why the hell is everyone pissed at this draft?

#14 Star Lotulelei. Will probably be the best DT we have had since Jenkins. Will be a defensive monster.

#44 Kawann Short. Future replacement for Dwan Edwards and insurance on Lotulelei's heart problem.

#108 Edmund Kugbila. Adds depth. Not our best pick but I don't hate it.

#148 A.J Klein. Very good pick, perfect insurance we need on Beason, also he is clearly bringing sexy back TPBUQBHXMOANYKZ.20120427163720.jpg

#182 KenJon Barner. Our steal of the draft.. Could be the answer to DWill's contract problem or Stewart's glass ankle.

I'm not seeing why people are mad at this draft? you don't always get what you want.

We were terrible at DT. Have been for years.

They think the G will be special.

Fifth round: A SLB with starting talent. 3rd round value. Beason is overpaid and often injured. Blackburn could have backed Beason, so that is not why he was drafted. He is heir to Beason.

Sixth round: Third to fourth round value. Last year, RR wanted a scat back. Hurney did not give him one. Still, this is about the position--Stewart, Tolbert, Poole, and Barner all have different stregths. Aside from being that Scat back, Barner will help us step away from the DW contract.

Note that DW and Beason did not restructure during the offseason. Hmmm.

This was a good draft in my opinion. I pretty much agree with everything OP says.

Kenjon Barner was a STEAL in the 6th round. This guy is pretty legit. He is at WORST a 2nd string back.

We got two potential stud defensive tackles.

With those 3 picks alone I can't complain. The LB will provide depth. The only pick I question is the olineman but if they see something in him then I will hold my judgement until he gets some playing time.

Well I like Hixon, but the first thing he needs to do is stay healthy. We also have David Gettis who hasn't seen real playing time since John Fox was still coaching the team. Add in an aging Steve Smith and a hot/cold Lafell, how can anyone stand there and say with a straight face that RB was a bigger immediate need than WR? I'm just going to do what I have grown accustomed to with Hurney being here all those years, and that is hope for the best.
