Very excited for Robert! He started off as a Defensive Tackle when he got to ECU... He turned into a very good Offensive Lineman for us. He's got an NFL body... and as weak as our OL is, he might have a shot!

A late addition. hadn't heard we signed him.

Lineberry also received a signing bonus from the Panthers, almost unheard of for rookie free agent signees. But it appears as if the Panthers are intent on giving Lineberry every opportunity to win the place kicking job currently held by four-year NFL veteran Graham Gano.

School: Oklahoma

Position: DT

Bio: Started the past two seasons, posting 25 tackles and adding three tackles for loss as a senior after 17 tackles and three tackles for loss the prior year.

Positive: Underrated penetrating tackle who plays hard on every down. Fires off the snap, plays with consistent leverage, and keeps his feet moving on contact. Fires behind the line of scrimmage and can be a disruptive force. Chases hard to make plays. Flashes lower-body power and the ability to bull rush blockers off the line.

Negative: Short and engulfed by opponents. Must develop more moves with his hands. Marginal pass rusher.

Analysis: Walker was a consistent player for Oklahoma but overshadowed by much of the headlining talent that surrounded him. He's an average athlete but a prospect who gets the most from his ability and could back up on the interior of a four-man front.

One guy i am excited about is the guard Mobley. Google his game against Florida. He handled Sharrif Floyd really well. Excellent feet and leverage.

 

Looks like he could be a nice developmental guy.

 

Really liked the work he did against Floyd....but at only 285 lbs, he will need to get bigger and stronger.

 

Can definitely see him on the PS this year.

Panthers signed Louisiana Tech QB Colby Cameron.

Cameron (6-foot-2 1/8, 212) set an NCAA record for consecutive passes without an interception as a senior, finishing with a 31:5 TD-to-INT ratio and 68.8 completion rate in Louisiana Tech's spread offense. Cameron only started for 1 1/2 seasons in college and lacks NFL-caliber arm strength, relying on touch and placement. He is a plus athlete, running in the 4.6s at the Combine with impressive cone and shuttle times. Derek Anderson and Jimmy Clausen are currently the Panthers' backup quarterbacks.

      At this rate, maybe he'll be a decent 8-9 QB on his 3rd HC by year 6. Standards are so low around here now. Tepper has done some serious damage to the fan base.
