JR doesnt like players with off field issues.

Its not just us who passed on him. 31 teams passed up on him also and Buffalo got him as a UDFA. Who cares.

Umm when this dude is lighting up the NFL knowing we could of had him in the 6th round or UDFA im sure as fug gonna care. Esp when we need a #1 WR to replace Smitty.

Cam cares. Thats all that matters. fug character. Talent wins games

Too bad. Im not going to cry about not getting a guy who 31 other teams didnt draft also.

And thats coming from a huge Da'Rick Roger fan.

What does teams passing up a player have to do with how well he performs in the league?!?

I bet all those teams that passed Brady in the draft dont care because they were not the only team to pas him up.

smh

Are you serious?! Look at the odds of an UDFA vs. a drafted player making an NFL roster; then also look at the players on actual rosters. WTF.

The Arian Foster's & Wes Welker's of the world are rare exceptions. Look at how many UDFA's just the Panthers will bring to camp, thru signing or invite, & count the # on the final roster (esp. starters).

These guys are definitely worth the chance & some stick, but to make a statement like "what does a team passing up a player have to do with how well they perform in the league" seems ill-conceived at best.

Teams dont want troubled players. Thats why Rambo, Rogers, and Ray Ray Armstrong as talented as they were, dropped to the later rounds or were not drafted. You think that the 32 GMs in this league doesnt know that Rogers is a baller? They KNOW! They dont want to end up with the next Pacman Jones where "their off field issues out weigh their performance".

How many times does a dude with Rogers talent go undrafted?

Your looking at my comment the wrong way. Ovcourse UDFA have a lower chance to make a roster than drafted players.

What I am saying is IF and WHEN Rogers dominates in the league no one is gonna be like oh well, doesnt matter that we passed on him because other teams passed on him.

If he is a problem you cut him. Late round pick / UDFA is not gonna hurt the team.

Reward far and away out weighs the risk.

Its like someone risking 100 dollars to win 10,000 at a chance of 50%. You would be dumb as fug not to take that bet.

Fact is 32 teams passed on him ~ 7 times each. Choosing high risk/low character guys is not a Championship mentality for any team. Look at the Bengals...loaded with talent, but never seem to get over that hump...how a guy conducts his personal business affects the teams.

A guy doesn't just show up on Sundays. They are in the weight rooms, position-specific meetings, in the hotels, etc., etc. with other players...they have an impact & usually negative. A strong locker room can help out a guy who wants to help himself...but I am guessing these GMs did not get that sense form Rogers (that's just my guess, b/c his talent is unmistakeable).

I understand your point, but I will not complain that character is important to our owner.
