UDFA's have been known to sign two year deals before. There's no bonus involved, so if they get cut, no cap hit.

Interesting point. Maybe they noticed him while watching film on Floyd. In the presser they said they noticed Short when they were watching an OLineman and that led to their further scouting of Short. I bet that's what happened here. Floyd only had 3 tackles (0 sacks) against JSU. He'll be a guy to keep an eye on, I suppose.
