How dumb of a pick would have Gettleman made if Star didn't fall into his lap?

Come on... barner is not faster than deangelo or stewart. Not to mention tolbert. Your going to take these 3 high payed proven products off the field because u want a slower option to take over on third down? And him taking option carries is laughable. As for klien, did you forget about Blackburn we signed him just to come in and play those roles. So at best he's behind him. That guard a day one starter is a joke.

AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH! my god we have some stupid posters on here and I can understand why people would be upset with our last few picks but damn this post takes the absolute cake in pure ignorance.

its not like Chip Kelly ran the option to complete perfection at Oregon with Kenjon Barner and damn near made the national championship while smashing rushing records left and right. Barner is easily in the mix for being the fastest player on the Panthers right now.

Ted Ginn Jr is the fastest, but I see your point.

claiming a draft is a failure on day 3 of the draft is about as dumb as saying an MLB team's season is over after season opener

So is claiming success, and that is what at most of the huddle is doing. What aren't you preaching to them?

These picks sucked hard besides Star, I hate every single other one. I really hope Gettle knows what he is doing, but Panther fans need to be open to the fact he might suck and there might have been a good reason he has not been a GM before all the way until now.

There are threads about our new monster Dline and our RG spot solidified. lol. Go preach to them, those statements are extreme. Truth is 1 2 or if we are lucky 3 of these guys will turn out to be first second or third stringers. The rest gone. These guys have to work out first and it could take years. People have their opinion.

Keyword is mix. Dunno if Ginn is as fast as he was coming out of college and I know pre injury Gettis was an absolute speed demon. Its definitely between those 3 guys tho and Barner easily smokes our other RBs when it comes to raw speed.

And your choice is to whine and cry about weapons you think we need. On a offense that was top 5 2 years ago. Obviously the people who know the game because they make living off this thinks differently from you.

www.nfl.com/draft/2013/profiles/kenjon-barner?id=2539289 plz look at his 40 time and tell me if hes the fastest player on the team. Infact he's the slowest runningback we have besides tolbert. You do not take two faster more talented players out just so you can give this guy carries.

Alfred Morris's 40 time: 4.67

The only scary thought to me is: what if Austin hadn't been taken before our pick? Would Gettleman have passed on Star for Austin? If we had taken Austin with Star on the board I might have been one of the whiny ass bitching posters here because that would have made me sick.

Track speed does not equal football speed.

I have a feeling Star was rated higher than Tavon on the Panthers board. Pure speculation, but with the need mixed with Star's ability it is a likely conclusion. I think Star is a better prospect than Tavon.
