Panthers select Oregon RB Kenjon Barner

Don't feel like going back 18 pages so if these have been posted, my apologies:

Kenjon Barner was born in Lynwood, CA. The same place where Steve Smith grew up.

If DeAngelo Williams is gone, we will have an all Duck backfield.

He once ran for 321 yards and 5 touchdowns against USC in 2012

Ran the 100 meters at 10.71 seconds

Averaged 6 yards per carry in every season of his 4 seasons with Oregon

It's so apparent that most people just don't quite get it. Everyone's a fugging gm these days, but I'm so fugging glad Gettleman is running my favorite team and not a bunch of "I watch the NFL network" mouth breathers.

You want playmakers on your team. This draft gave us playmakers, and definitely one of the best front sevens in football.

I want the Stewart, Barner combo. Perfect combo of power and speed. Kinda want Dwill gone to make way for this kid.

Btw, whats the major knock on him? What made him fall so damn far.

I feel like this dude is a stud

Small, concerns about his pass blocking ability.

I don't want to prematurely say that they'll make us the best front seven in the NFL, but fug if these guys can't get it done I don't know what will get us there lol

The dude had 1700+ yards and 23 TDs. Lol blocking makes him fall to the 6th? I guess it is his size. Whatever, everyone elses loss. Our gain

Those numbers are staggering, saw them earlier and was in shock we picked him up in the 6th. Just watching Oregon games in passing, I just though he was one of these elite athletes with just solid not elite production, was wrong.

What makes you think we see less than 2011?

I don't think he leads us in rushing but it is possible. 600-700 yards rush and 10 TDs seems just about a standard for him.

Depends on if a RB gets enough carries to top 600 or 700 yards

Just a gut feeling based on the comments from Rivera/Shula.

I "think" we will see a more traditional running game to compliment our passing game.

I still expect to see some read option this season. But, I think it will be less read option/gimmick and more power running and play action pass.

But, I could be totally wrong on this. We will see.

to have the traditional run game, carolina is going to need an oline that can block and create holes. I'm not seeing it from this group. They definitely need to bring in a vet from free agency to help.

I expect to see a vet RG brought in on a 1 (maybe 2 year deal). Let Kugzilla develop behind him.

I wouldnt be surprised to see RT and RG vets brought in.

I REALLY wish we were talking to Eric Winston :(

Not sure we have the cap space for him.

I see us going with Bell and bringing in a guy like Moore at G.

But, hey.....If I knew what the hell I was talking about I would work for an NFL team.
