Panthers select Oregon RB Kenjon Barner

Dont we already have like 16 kick return men?

Pretty much. Every WR we have has return in the pass, besides Lafell. Gettis, Smitty, Hixon, Ginn, Armati, Pilaris, who else. LOL so I don't think that he is brought in for return ability, I think he is going to get some good time on the field at running back. I'm excited to see it. Besides Star (really Kuechly because with Star in front of him, he is going to have a crazy year) Kenjon Barner is the only guy I'm ready to see play in this draft class.

To tell you the truth this draft really wasn't that great for us. But if you talk to Gettleman we got every single player we want ROFL.

The only one that has proven he is worth a poo at it is only signed to a one year contract (Ginn)

Oh, cool so we just signed another for fug of it?

Kenjon Barner

School: Oregon

Position: RB

Bio: Awarded all-Conference honors as a senior after totals of 270 carries/1767 yards/21 TDs and 20 receptions/256 yards/2 TDs. Junior rushing totals included 152/939/11.

Positive: Explosive ballcarrier with a versatile game. Patient, waits for blocks to develop, and quickly gets through the running lanes. Shows the ability to cut back against the grain. Loses little momentum changing direction and follows blocks. Displays a terrific burst of speed, has the ability to turn the corner, and beats defenders into the open field. Quick footed. Sidesteps opponents and has the ability to create yardage. Solid pass catcher who extends to make receptions away from his frame.

Negative: Lazily finishes plays by running out of bounds on occasion. Doesn Et break tackles and was easily brought down at the point of attack by a single opponent.

Analysis: Barner is a well-rounded ballcarrier and pass catcher who plays faster than his 40 time. He'll do well lining up as a third-down back or as a rotational player at the next level.

Securing that spot for the long term so that we don't have to wast future cap space for a good one and getting a guy that will be explosive in the slot and in the screen game isn't what I would chalk up to "the fug of it".

Oh right, except you an apply the same logic to every position of need we had and come up with the conclusion we wasted a pick on positions we have already stacked. I mean I guess if everyone fails, and for some reason we don't participate in the following years offseason signings and draft, then yeah maybe this signing would be logical.

It's almost as if people forgot that DeAngelo Williams is playing his final season in Carolina.

It's almost like there will be a draft next year...

Actually, it looks like we could SAVE 3.4 million by cutting DWill at June 1st. Could use this money for several things
