Yea, it's not a bad pick by any means. I don't care for it, personally. I would have much preferred Rambo, or even Dustin Hopkins, or Faulk. But we need depth at LB. My only concern is where he fits in our LB corps, but that's one where you obviously trust the coach and GM who would know best.

Mayock made a good point earlier talking about drafting for need rather than value or bpa. If you draft for need late you will dilute your roster, especially over time making those decisions. You want to make your roster as talented as possible, and passing up talent for need is ignoring more talented players in favor of a need.

So there's that.

We currently have a broken arm that is called our secondary. Currently we're down at Rite aid shopping for a cast. There's a lot of arm casts there but we're buying a cast for our leg just because it's higher quality. Sounds like a winning plan to me.

We have two linebackers with a long history of injuries and lost James Anderson and Jason Phillips to FA. But we should definitely not get anyone at LB.

Long list? One TD only had one injury in his career and that was a knee injury. That he happen to mess up 3 different times. Was unpredictable. 2 Beason doesn't have a long history of injuries. The guy had achillies that he wasn't really fully recover from yet and he happen to get a messed up shoulder. Up until last 2 seasons. Beason has not really messed any games with long term injuries. That goes for TD as well. Any player at any time can get hurt. Beason and TD will be fine. But long list of injuries is kind of going a little to far ain't it.

why would you add another backup-caliber starter when you could bring in a starting- caliber backup?
