There's nothing implying or indicating this was a panic pick. If it were a panic pick, it'd have been someone like B. Jones or one of those other OGs that were "rated higher". If anything this pick screams "I know who I like and internet scouts and talking hairdos be damned. I'm taking the guy I think will be the better NFL player".

And Marty had that same approach. Every GM does. The prideful "I know something you don't because I'm me" mentality. In the end theres something to be said for the general consensus. There's a reason higher rates players are rated higher.

He was projected as a 7th rounder to FA by some while Walter didn't even have him making the top 20 G prospects. Maybe it's just because he is D-2.

I'll trust the GM that he knows something we don't but it strikes me as a huge stretch

Someone in this thread posted that he was a 3-4 round prospect by the Browns.

The only thing that matters is how the teams rate him...nobody else.

at first I was a little sore, guy I never heard of + Patton was still on the board.

The more I read about this guy the more I like him. A lot of GMs started liking this guys movement, power and reach. And in the 4th where you can go almost any which way this isn't a bad pick. I like it more and more.

Also Eric Reid can't cover to save his fuging life. He's literally Chris Harris, iffy cover guy and lives on being a "hard hitter." We have that in Godfrey.

If you guys want to make suggestions about Zod's servers, there is a way to go about it. No need to be a jackass.

He's apparently sensitive on the topic. I wrote my post as a joke and offered to help. His reply was. . .interesting (by the way, Zod, I know how to get around your silly censor too.)

Rather than insulting people who do this stuff for a living, maybe take them up on their offer to contribute. I'm not insulting the dude, just pointing out that that with some tweaks we could keep this site up nonstop.

Yeah, right. You are a photographer. I am a developer on the PHP team, manage over 50 different servers, and have been working in the web field for 15 years. I have web tools that average 15k hits per hour. So go ahead and talk out of your ass. And like I said, I'll be glad to help if you want. I wasn't trying to insult you, but it is highly likely I might know a little poor about this process than you, considering IT'S MY JOB.

Small school guy, but huge and strong and a mauler... and has played both tackle and guard. Won't have to learn the OG position from scratch like Silotolu had to do so, hopefully, will make more of an immediate impact.

I like big, strong, ugly, violent linemen.

Sounds about like a poor mans version of Silotolu.
