"Remember Arizona" Banner for Training Camp...

The coaches don't want the players even looking at the fans during practices. The sign will be seen as a distraction and will be gone within 5 minutes. I happen to agree with them. I much rather our players concentrate 100% on the current drill or scheme being practiced, and not what a few knuckleheads are holding up.

You may get away with it if you only hold it up at the gate where the players exit the locker room, where autographs are being done. Other than that, its a pretty good waste of money.

And then, the players will be too pissed off at you to sign any autographs for you (and maybe other fans).

Zod's right, it will get taken down immediately.

I can see positives and negatives.

On the positive side, it does echo a theme that Coach Fox is using, and it shows the fans care. And you'd expect the veteran players to be able to understand the spirit in which it's meant.

On the negative, yes it could be taken the wrong way. And add in that there'll be around 30 players at said training camp who had nothing to do with the Arizona game, so it won't mean much to them. And in truth, I know that if PL says it won't fly, she knows of what she speaks.

Understand the thought AK. I can support the spirit of it, but in the end I'm not sure it's gonna work.

I see many folks expressing their opinion or providing information from an insider point of view which is appreciated. Still several others are up to their usual crap of taking swipes and criticizing without adding anything to the discussion.

Thanks to those who add insight and wisdom. To those taking swipes and making personal attacks- bite me.

Just remember that guys like AK are valuable to this website. His campaign to get logos on the field was a great collaboration between several huddlers and did make a difference. Everyone can have an idea that might in hindsight be somewhat controversial or perhaps ill advised.

For the record the banner idea was mine, so cut him some slack. In retrospect it may not be the way to go but that it why we asked for feedback.

here is a little perspective from Beason;

Beason, whose body looks so chiseled you can make a statue out of him, said the motivation for him to avenge last year’s playoff loss has carried over to the weight room as well as the practice field.

“If you don’t have a chip on your shoulder than I don’t know how you play this game,” Beason said. “It definitely hurts when you think about (the Arizona loss) and it definitely comes up in conversation a lot among guys in the locker room. So it’s good that we’re conscious about it.”
