"Remember Arizona" Banner for Training Camp...

I know I brought it up and believe a banner would be a good idea. Who should or could we talk to in order to see how it would perceived by the Panthers organization?

I would hate to go to all the work only to have to take it down right away as Zod intimated. On the other hand we as fans should be able to show support.

If they wanted something else it could be a 33-13 banner or even a lets go Panthers banner and we could sign it with remember Arizona and our names.

I think it has merit but I can see checking out how it would be received in order to avoid issues at camp.

FWIW- don't understimate AK's ability to get things done.

Just sayin....................

The coaches don't want the players even looking at the fans during practices. The sign will be seen as a distraction and will be gone within 5 minutes. I happen to agree with them. I much rather our players concentrate 100% on the current drill or scheme being practiced, and not what a few knuckleheads are holding up.

You may get away with it if you only hold it up at the gate where the players exit the locker room, where autographs are being done. Other than that, its a pretty good waste of money.

I understand the "spirit" of this idea, but I honestly don't like it and here's why:

It's one thing for the team to CHOOSE to motivate themselves in this way, but it's another thing for us fans to IMPOSE this on them. Fox said "remember Arizona" during his parting speech to the team because he felt like he had to acknowledge it at some point, but he certainly doesn't want to dwell on it. For this reason, I don't think a "REMEMBER ARIZONA" sign will be well received at camp and like Zod suggested I wouldn't be surprised if you were asked to take it down immediately....

This team didn't lose the Arizona game because they didn't work hard enough or try hard enough, they lost because one guy turned the ball over 6 times. I don't care if you're playing the Detroit Lions, if you turn the ball over 6 times they will beat you. There's really only one guy that needs to "REMEMBER ARIZONA" and we all know who that is. He needs to study the mistakes he made, and then put it behind him and prepare for what should be a great season.

Lets say you are an engineer and you worked all year on a bridge design. Once you finished they built it and it was immediately demolished for being unsafe. You beat yourself up over it for 7 months straight. Then, you finally get another project and your wife holds up a sign that says "don't forget the last bridge dumbass".

I bet you would be appreciative.

Good point. Count me in to donate since the Eagles play the Panthers in week 1. :D
