(REPORT) Panthers eyeing WR Bailey or CB Wilson in the 2nd

Recommended Posts

Better options avaliable at WR. Allen, Hunter both better prospects and one should be there. Bailey's a nice prospect, but he's in the Patton, Woods tier. He'll likely never be a game changer and both Allen and Hunter project to be such. He's a good number 2, at best.

Frankly, no more JAGs imo.

We have enough JAG receivers on roster. Unless we're talking a future Smith replacement (not Bailey by a long shot), leave the position alone and roll with what you have.

I wouldn't be so sure about that! He avg over 120yds per game this year while nursing a bad ankle! Not to mention 25 TDs! Stedman produces! Odd that he isn't held with higher regard! Compare Steve Smith combine to his.........not far off

Bailey will be a very good WR if we can get him... He was pretty much WVUs #1, and definitely their #1 in the red zone... He has swagger similar to Smitty on the field, and he goes up and catches some junk that reminds me of Jake D passes back in the day...

Height and speed is hurting him. but the kid is 5'10" ran a 4.5 at the combine. Seen the Smitty comparison thrown out there. In a way he is but not as strong and fast as Smitty. More of a Greg Jennings player type.

Going after the 10th ranked WR (NFL.com Rankings) in the 2nd? I hope he is wrong.

Te'o is like one of the highest ranked players according to NFL.com.

You guys are really underrating him in this thread or clearly have never seen him play and just look at measurables (which wouldn't surprise me since a lot of you all seem to like Mingo).

1. Bailey is faster than his 40 time, and his 40 time isn't even that bad (4.52, which is nearly what Greg Jennings ran; both of similar stature too)

2. I don't truly believe he is the 10th wide receiver in this draft. He's been criminally underrated throughout the process.

Bailey plays bigger than his size, very good route runner with extremely reliable hands. He's not my #1 option in the 2nd but some of you are underrating him a tad.
