Trading Down in the second.

If Hunter or Allen is there at #44, you ignore the phone like he did with our first pick. If those two are gone I'd entertain trades of 9 or fewer picks down. There's a solid 6 or 7 more players I'd put at about equal desirability for us after Hunter and Allen. Cyprien, Taylor, Rambo, Patton, Woods, Warford to name a few. One of them would likely be still available at 53 or sooner.

I dont' get the infatuation with trading down. You rarely get a better player. Stick at 44 and get your self a great player, end of story.

I think it is more so trying to get the third back, plus to accumulate some picks since we need depth as well as quality. If an offer comes through that is decent, I think they should at least entertain the idea.

Judging from what Gettleman said about trading down in last night's press conference, I'd be very surprised if we did.

our GM keeps stating "I'd rather have a dollar than 3 dimes"

Gettleman seems really averse to trading down. Hard to imagine he'd do it unless somebody brings him a mind-blowing offer.

Just can't see it happening.

We will not trade our pick because.............

another "Hogmolly" will be staring us in the kisser.@ 44

and we won't pass it up.

ps.......our GM keeps stating "I'd rather have a dollar than 3 dimes"

This. Gettleman is not a fan of trading down. Don't understand why people keep thinking he is.
