What would Hurney have done?

Just to pass some time before our next pick, what do y'all think Hurndog would've done in the position we were in today?

Try to keep the hate and unrealisticness to a minimum...remember Hurney nailed the past two first rounders.

although I think Hurney wouldn't have screwed up this since Star basically fell right in our lap....

drafting a DT in the first would have driven Hurndog to do the following:

2nd round: Mante Teo

4th round: Marcus Lattimore

5th round: Former QB WR project

6th round: fug it, let's draft another running back

Afterwards, probably pound a fifth of gin and use his tears as lube.

honestly we might've still gotten a good player, but Hurney never showed me any indication that he valued prospect DTs that much. I don't know if it would've been Star but he may very well have passed him over like the teams before us did. Maybe he'd still have been hesitant to draft Star given the health scare. I honestly think that's the only reason he fell as far as he did. Remember what Gettleman said about big men and what they allow you to do. Coughlin's philosophies left an imprint in him that Hurney didn't have.

The only thing he may have done differently was trade ahead of the Jets to take Star. Or he may have stayed put and taken him when he fell in our laps like Gettleman did. Word is that the scouting staff loved Star, and he always listened to them.
