Duke Robinson....

In my opinion I think he's our only rookie that has the chance to start.

The knocks on him were that he lacked motivation and had poor technique. Gantt confirmed that this was true but has also said he has greatly improved.

Vincent is a solid guard but he's as good as he is going to get and he also is a bit injury prone. If Robinson can't beat him out I won't be bothered.

I would really like to see Robinson on the starting line if he can prove himself, he has a long way to dg but having him on the line would give us one of the best if not THE best run blocking line in the league.

He definately has the talent, I just hope he is able to take advantage of it. We could really use his help with all of these elite defenses we will be seeing this year.

I think Goodson will crack the starting lineup, as he's too much of a playmaker to sit.

He'll find his way on the roster somewhere, even if it means he's our fourth receiver/returner.

I also agree Brown will "start" in the sense he'll be active every game, but I expect to see Johnson in opposite of Peppers most downs (at least at first).

Vincent played damn good for us last season. He and Otah are a force to be reckoned with.

Otah and Robinson are the future power side though. I'm pretty fired up about our O-line and RB positions for the next 5-10 years.

Robinson would be crazy to not be motivated at this point in his career, he has to 'make it' first!

Now in a couple of years that is when his motivation will be really tested, as he will have a bit of money under his belt and a few years to learn what he can and can't get away with. People like Shane Olivea spring to mind when I think of Robinson. Promising prospects that lose the will to push themselves every year to keep improving.

Hopefully Otah's fierce work ethic will rub off on him though and they genuinely do create a truely fearsome right LoS.

If Duke turns into a guy that makes the two deep it will be a great success and point to a bright future for our line. I do not think he has to start this year out of the gate and HOPE he can be a solid project. I have not heard a single word about him through camp. Did I miss it or was there nothing to report positive or negative?

IMO there is no way Duke doesn't crack the starting lineup. This kid is too physically gifted, had a first round draft grade, and dominated in college versus an extremely high level of competition. He can't beat out a journeyman in Vincent coming off a groin injury?
