The year of moving down in the NFL Draft?

If Star starts falling...I wouldn't hate moving up for him. Not a big jump, and I'd like to keep our 2nd this year, but I think it could be worth it.

Please no. I'm tired of living through the Hurney years of missing picks.

While I agree with you, it's a tad different jumping up to get a guy like Star as opposed to a guy in the 2nd or 3rd round. I'm not a fan of trading up with so few picks, but I wouldn't hate it.

I doubt the Falcons regret trading up for Julio Jones. This situation is a lot more similar to that, as opposed to trading up for Everette Brown or Armanti Edwards.

I agree. If he starts falling a bit teams are going to do all they can to move up to get him including the 49ers who are going to be willing to unload their picks to get him if I had to guess. If he gets within 4-5 picks of us I wouldn't be opposed of doing what needs to be done to get him on this roster. I'd rather pay a little extra for a great player at a huge position of need than allow the Niners or Falcons to get a great player who can be their missing piece to a Super Bowl run.

Star's not falling just because of his heart condition, he's gotten the peg of not being a football guy and not loving the game. Attitude, work ethic...so forth.

Add in bad technique, short arms and a lack of pass rush moves with the heart condition and his love of football being question and he could take a huge plunge down the draft. Even though the heart condition checked out, he was automatically removed from a ton of teams draft boards just because of the question mark.

I wouldn't trade up for him with those question marks on him.

As for trading up - Not really anyone worth trading up for and it would take a future first round or a second round this year to manage the move and it isn't worth it.

As for moving back - Only if you can get a bucket load of picks, this is really a top 15 draft, then everyone else is bunched together as middle first - second round guys.
