Dunlap Fired

So much to "not rushing the decision"

But I Was never really a fan of Dunlap, and I don't really think many of the players were either.

He's for sure a college coach, not an NBA coach.

He'll find a job back in the NCAA ranks, I mean hell he was a St. John's assistant?! Goodness smh

I wonder who MJ has waiting in the wings...

...the Zen Master?!?!

Only kidding ;)

What did they really expect out of him this season? He was brought in because of his niche for player development, which is what he did. Oh well, I feel bad for him because he did was he was brought in to do, however, there are still better options out there.

Looks like most people don't understand this UNLESS someone has already committed (and a proven vet coach) to come in here and lead this team. If this isn't the case, I don't fully understand what MJ is doing. I've been in the middle with Dunlap, but it always come down to what roster this guy has. If he had McRoberts and Hendo played all season like he did the last 2 months, we would have probably won more games. Let's just hope MJ has a plan....

I would have kept him 1 more year and see what he can do... to judge him on the roster and team he had last year wasnt fair to him. The only way I would agree with his release is if the players had major issues with him (excluding Ben Gordon)

    • I find it more like now that I have been forced to watch Young so much it isn’t as much of a shock to my senses.   Desensitized they call it.   For real, it just looks normal almost now. Where the first game of 2023 I wasn’t sure what I was looking at it was so out of bounds for NFL type play. I literally couldn’t make sense of what I had seen vs Atlanta that first week.
    • Lynch in SF. Great is subjective but he has done pretty well there.
    • Sure, except Stroud has the ability to stretch the field with deep passes. He did that often last night with ease, but couldn’t connect on many due to being flustered by the defense. BY9 gets flustered and can’t throw screens, let alone even think about any deeper passes. Stroud would’ve changed the franchise and done more with the situation last year. My thought at least.    the hope is that last year showed tepper that he needed to step back from football decisions. There’s a positive in most situations and maybe we’ll see a new tepper in the near future.
