Steve Smith: Ain't Scared

I love Smitty. The Revis/Smith matchup should be good to watch. Hopefully, we can get creative with him and put him in some 1 v. 1 positions against Goldson and burn him deep. TB secondary looks good on paper but their DL and LB also look very weak. We should have lots of time to throw and have pretty good running lanes.

This^^^. Catch Tampa in a zone with the safeties playing deep halves ans send smitty down the sideline against goldson. I like that. Or quick slant right across revis' face. Smitty is physical and still quick enough to take revis off the snap.

I'm just saying....Revis is just as dominant as his position as AP is at RB.

I wouldn't automatically assume Revis won't be the same player.

even in the very off chance he does come back as good as he ever was, the effect is still very easy to work around. so he shuts off smitty...and they shut down the run (which we know they can do)...what's the solution?

easy....throw the ball to other people and do it often. they don't dare take revis off smith.

if we pick up another playmaker WR this year and with the upgrade of hixon and ginn to the bottom of the corps and the game plan consists of airing it out early and often to receivers not names steve smith then we've got them beat.

they are building a team ignoring the rise of pass heavy spread offenses in the league. it's just too easy to beat and i honestly feel that if rivera even loses one game to the bucs this year he should be on his way out. getting swept by them was embarrassing and inexcusable enough last year. if he can't come up with a game plan to beat that team he needs to be gone.

if we get swept by the bucs again he needs to be fired the day after the second loss.

they are just too easy to beat.

I'm kinda hoping he does do some pre-game or in-game jawing with Smith.

Whenever that happens, the results are always fun to watch.

Have you never seen Revis play? He isn't one to run his mouth to try to get into an opponent's head. He does most of his talking by his play. So I wouldn't expect fireworks between him and Smith.

Well, we are going to see how well Revis does. Not saying that he won't do his thing, and have some good games, but Revis Island will be but a blip in a green ocean with the likes of Smitty, White, Jones, Colson, Olsen, Graham and Gonzo. Not to mention Cam, Brees and Matty Ice(cream).
