Remember Arizona......

If the fans can't get it off their minds, why in the hell would the players and coaches need something more to remember it? They might not have shown it, but they were on the field, at home, for that game. That much is probably painfully apparent to any player or coach/staff from last year.

OK everyone knows i am a sucker for sentimental Little things, anyone willing to go in with me to buy the team "Remember Arizona" T Shirts?

I know its not the same as the "Mills/Fields" shirts from back in the day, but I think its something the team can draw strength from.

Honestly, how much of a motivator can it be for the team if they get a box of T-Shirts from the Fans that says "Remember Arizona".

(Remember the pain, Remember the the disappointment, remember how you felt, wear this shirt so you don't forget-now go out and make your future what you wish that game wasn't. Win us that trophy)

I think it could be a huge motivator and I am willing to put some $$$$ behind it. It could be a big building block for 2009, and God knows there is nothing wrong with a team having a mantra.

(We could get the Shirts made through an on line site (have to be all XL-XXL-XXXL- And maybe a few- XXXXL)

We could spend the next month and half to get the money up and send the team the shirts around the end of TC so the "selected team" gets them in time for the 1st Game. They would have to be white with black lettering.

Might cost about $400.00 or so. I have $50 on it. I just need 7 other people.

Any Takers?

Not happening...save it for another action figure.

you now what, this idea or not, I hate your guys attitudes on here. Its EASY to say something cant be done because then you dont risk failure and time.

But you know what, there is nothing wrong with having a positive attitude about things, its those folks who get ahead in life.

Bunch of you here have a lot to learn.

The negativity in this place is terrible, always has been.

So you are complaining about people not having a positive attitude but in the same breath want to create a banner that will not create a positive attitude amongst players....

Its a bad idea just take it like a man.

I know it must suck to have so many people disagree with you on this, but you should have known after the responses you got to the "Remember Arizona banner" thread. IMHO, it's the coaches job to motivate players however he sees fit. It's our job as fans to support our team, through thick and thin. I know that you feel that this "Remember Arizona" thing (banner, t shirts, whatever) is you doing your part, but I just disagree. I find it unnecessary and antagonizing.

How would you feel if a group of Bucs fans showed up to BoA stadium with a big banner reading "Remember Arizona?" I bet you probably wouldn't like it then. Sure, you say now that you think it'd be great, because it would fire up the players or some poo like that. But I guarantee you it would get under your skin, and it would get under mine, regardless of who made it. I can't remember who said it (and don't want to try to find it) but someone in the banner thread said that this is equivalent to hanging a banner at his second wedding ceremony saying "Remember that crappy first marriage you had?"

And as far as the attitude thing goes...You support this idea vehemently. Many of us are vehemently opposed to it. You perceive our disagreement with your idea as being negative. We perceive your idea as being negative.

Sorry dude. Again, I really like your posts on here but don't support this idea. If you do it (the banner or the t shirts), I hope you prove me wrong. I also hope you don't get punched in the face by a player.

I don't like Fox's "Remember Arizona" battle cry. Here's why. Your leader basically pooed the bed in that game. Ninety percent of the blame, at least among the players, rested squarely on Jake's shoulders that night. You can say the offensive coordinator blew it for not sticking to the run or the DC blew it for not figuring out how to stop one man, but every time Jake sees "Remember Arizona" what do you think is running through his mind?

Just an aside. I played poker last night with some turd Falcons fan (I live in Atlanta) that kept singing "Five...Five...Five Interceptions" to the tune of the subway five dollar foot long song. It annoyed the crap out of me. What you're suggesting reminds me of that. I still don't understand why you want to do this so badly. The players and coaches are grown men and can sufficiently motivate themselves.

I don't expect to see a bunch of Detroit fans with "Remember 0-16" banners next year. But I could be wrong.

That was me with the marriage thing, BTW.

Re: that Falcons fan, there are few things more annoying than a fan of a team that did nothing more than your team did in the playoffs and regular season record wise was one game back and was 1-1 on the season series talking smack. I would have told him/her that BOTH teams were 0-1 in the playoffs so how does that make the Falcons better/the Panthers more tauntable?
