Revis To Bucs, And Why We Should Rejoice

Yup. We have one no.1 WR, no no.2, and and seven no.3 WR (Lafail, Gettis, Hixon , Ginn, Adams, Pilares, AE) on the team right now. WR is a huge need as much as Safety and DT. We need to find a way to address those three positions and even a fourth at RG before the season starts.

...we have the paint and the canvas... depends on what Shula creates...

If Revis had been traded to the Panthers, you'd be having a thread to why (1) he's still an elite shutdown cb (2) he's going to come back from his ACL injury quickly and (3) we're going to win the Super Bowl right?

You're catching on!

im going to bump this if he returns to all-pro form again. You shouldn't be rejoicing anything.

Please do. In fact, I'm not saying Revis can't return to All-Pro form. But how much impact will that really have in a secondary that still lacks a decent #2 corner?

Now, if the Bucs start filling in more holes back there and Barron improves (it remains to be seen how Goldson fares) this might end up being a genius move. But even a top-flight defense will only get them as far as Freeman takes them. I'm much, much more concerned about Freeman improving then anything else about the Bucs.

Having a healthy Revis usally means that the opponents best receiver will be a relative non factor. Which I would think would be big for most offenses. Also because he's so talented, it will allow the Bucs safety's to consistently assist the 2nd Cb which can somewhat mitigate the cb struggles.

You already can't run on the Bucs and now you have lost your number one Wr. I don't see how this is good news, assuming he comes back healthy.
