Coffee Maker

Looking for suggestions for a good coffee maker.

Need something for the weekends that will make a good 12-16oz cup of coffee.

I'm the only coffee drinker in the house so I don't need a 10 cup machine.

I drink my coffee black so it's got to be a good cup.

Gonna try and give up the weekend drive to the local coffee shop to get the weekend started.

Coffee suggestions welcome as well.

Oh yeah, I'm "thrifty", price matters.

I'm not sure what brand ours is...but it preheats the water before brewing...so it's really fast and I think it tastes way better. Just remember to turn it off or unplug it before you leave on vacation!

Krispy Kreme dark roast is top shelf. It's only available in their stores right now though. Around $8 for the bag.

I bought a Caphalon thermal coffee maker from Kohls.com ....$130 marked down to $50 something. Did some research. The coffee is GREAT!..It is also very fast. The water tank is removable so it much easier to keep clean. It is a 10 cup, but makes as much as my previous 12 cup pot. Best coffee maker I have ever had. Thermal carafe keeps coffee hot a long time, and it tastes fresh since it is not sitting on a burner.

Aeropress and a hot pot. Looks weird but makes an AMAZING cup of coffee.

Have had 3 HB coffee makers. Cannot begin to compare with what I have now.

Maybe I want 1 cup maybe 2 cups...maybe the wife wants 1 cup. Keurig is the only way to go in my house. My wife was against getting it now shes a bigger fan of it than I am.

Another vote! Dunkin Doughnuts or the Emril Bold is tasty coffee...makes great tea as well.

Get the one you can just use hot water also.

I got Bunn right now. Paid around $160 but will likely get Keurig soon.

I love the Keurig as well and we use it off and on during the day....that said, we still make a full pot on the weekends every morning...it never goes to waste and it's much cheaper that way.

Another Keurig vote here. Were on our second one after we ran the first one into the ground. It gave us 2 great years of service before going to the great coffee house in the sky.

Even when we have company and might want a whole pot of coffee its quick enough that making everyone a cup/mug isn't a hassle.
