The Chicago Bulls are a team that is celebrated for playing "playoff basketball" in the regular season. They are scrappy, they are intense, they defend hard. Unfortunately, when the playoffs come EVERY team plays that way. So the Bulls without their star guard Derrick Rose have problems. I think this year will be no different. When you add in the fact Bulls center Joakim Noah is not 100% I like Brooklyn chances a lot. Brook Lopez and gang should be able to take this series in 6 games. PJ Carlisemo came in mid season and got the Nets playing better, they will be rewarded with their first playoff series win in ages.

I'd like to see the Bulls win this series, purely to set up an intense rivalry series against the Heat in the next round. I'm waiting to see if Rose plays, and if he does, what impact he makes. If he doesn't then I feel the Bulls in 6 or win the decider.

That being said, I think the Nets might have too much for the Bulls if Rose doesn't return and Noah is still sidelined. If Lopez, Williams and Johnson play to their potential it will take a lot of big performances from the Bulls to stop them.

Brooklyn blowing Chicago out by 26 points with 6 minutes left in the 3rd. Told yall that "we play playoff basketball in the regular season" stuff wasnt gonna help Chi when the playoffs really do start. Everybody picks up the intensity so you gotta do more. Who is gonna step up for Chi? Boozer? Noah? Puh-leeze.

Instant classic right there. Brooklyn should be ashamed of themselves. Made the whole borrough look soft with that choke job. A team with D Will, Brook Lopez, & Joe Johnson shouldnt be losing to a team featuring Kirk Hinreich and Nate Robinson. This series is over, Bulls will see Miami next round. Nets are a mess.

    • Because Young is so historically bad that it just skews too far outside the normal deviations that perspective is easily lost. That or they just don't want to believe it.  The struggles last year would have been more about the infighting and poor roster building or idiot owner's hiring practices than with Stroud. He wouldn't have been as good but he wouldn't have been ruined here and the pressure was not Carr-esk if you take out the Young created portion from his playing style.  Dude is a young guy on a team coached by a Defensive guy building a good D but not building up the O in year 2 of his HC 1st time gig. Seems familiar... Go look at his output this year and not just some crappy Thursday night implosion game, I would take that in a second and never ever look back every time without a shred of doubt while eating 4 of those games a year with a giant smile on my face.
    • There is zero reason to sit him if he is ready to go.  Putting him on a shelf and attempting to protect does him no favors.
    • Stroud us nit the first QB thus franchise has missed on. He also won't be the last.
